Yahoo took the beta tags off Yahoo Messenger 10 Monday. The latest version of the company’s IM client includes video calling, as well as the ability to mute your microphone, put yourself on speaker, and put the call on hold. While you’re chatting, you can use other services such as file transfer, photo sharing, and games.

There’s also the inevitable social-networking component. “If your friends and family are sharing their status updates, you can view a live stream of what they’re up to on the ‘Y! Updates’ tab of the Messenger Window,” Yahoo wrote in a blog post.

Yahoo unveiled the beta version of Messenger 10 in August, several weeks after the debut of version 9.

Messenger 10 is available for download on Yahoo’s site in 29 languages.
